미국 시사주간지 ‘타임’이 선정한 ‘세계에서 가장 영향력 있는 100인’에 방탄소년단과 국제기구 ‘기후 변화 정부간 협의체’의 이회성 의장이 이름을 올렸습니다.
뉴욕 김철우 특파원의 보도입니다.

방탄소년단이 미국의 시사주간지 ‘타임’이 선정한 세계에서 가장 영향력 있는 100인에 이름을 올렸습니다.
매년 투표를 통해 세상을 크게 변화시키는 개인이나 단체를 뽑아 발표하는 타임지가 영향력 있는 아티스트로 BTS를 선정했습니다,
BTS는 지난해 투표에서도 1위를 차지했지만, 타임지 선정위원회에서 빼 100인 명단에 포함되지 못했습니다.
미국의 팝스타 할시는 추천사를 통해 “BTS는 음악이 언어 장벽보다 강하다고 확신하는 7명의 놀라운 젊은이들”이라며 “그들의 빛나는 노래 뒤에는 자신감을 위한 긍정의 메시지를 담고 있다”고 평가했습니다.
지난 12일, 전 세계 음악 시장에 공개된 BTS의 신곡은 현재 유튜브 조회수 1억 5천 뷰를 넘어섰습니다.
국제기구 ‘기후 변화에 관한 정부간 협의체’ IPCC의 이회성 의장도 타임지 선정 세계에서 가장 영향력 있는 100인에 포함됐습니다.
이회성 의장은 트럼프 미국 대통령, 낸시 펠로시 미 하원 의장 등과 함께 영향력 있는 지도자로 선정됐습니다.
이 의장은 기후변화에 관한 평가보고서 제출을 주 임무로 하는 국제기구를 지난 2015년부터 이끌고 있습니다.
올해 골든글로브 TV부문 여우주연상을 수상한 한국계 캐나다 배우 샌드라 오도 영향력 있는 100인 중 개척자 부문에 이름을 올렸습니다.

방탄소년단(BTS)이 4월 17일 서울 동대문디자인플라자(DDP)에서 글로벌 기자간담회를 열고 새 앨범 MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA(페르소나)와 활동에 대해 이야기를 나눴습니다.

방탄소년단(RM, 슈가, 진, 제이홉, 지민, 뷔, 정국)은 앞서 지난 12일 미니 앨범 MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA를 전 세계에 동시 공개했습니다. MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA는 방탄소년단의 새로운 연작인 MAP OF THE SOUL의 포문을 여는 첫 앨범입니다. 지금의 위치에 오를 수 있게 해준 전 세계 팬들에게 전하고 싶은 솔직한 이야기를 담았다고 합니다.

타이틀 곡 ‘작은 것들을 위한 시 (Boy With Luv)’는 펑크 팝(Funk Pop)장르의 곡으로, 너에 대한 관심과 사랑, 작고 소박한 사랑의 즐거움을 노래합니다. 세계적인 가수 할시(Halsey)가 피처링에 참여해 사랑의 즐거움에서 오는 설렘의 감정이 다채롭게 표현된 것은 물론, 듣기 쉬운 멜로디로 구성된 것이 특징입니다.
