There could be possible reasons why he left that day, like:
1. Things weren’t working out.
Fun fact : bts was originally supposed to have ten members. The reason is: one sadly died, and two left the group. The two that left, are probably regretting life decisions right now, but you can’t blame them. Big hit was an extremely small company back then, and only debuted a group because they were going to be closed down. If they couldn’t debut a succesfull group. BTS even have used thier producers in music videos, because they didn’t have enough money for extras. Maybe, J-hope wanted to leave bts before thier debut because, there was a small chance they were even going to be noticed at all. Hoseok left BTS before they debuted because things weren’t working out. Bighit was a tiny, virtually, unknown, company without any sort of financial stability; even if they debuted, their future was incredibly uncertain. Perhaps, he was unsure of the idol lifestyle. Perhaps, he felt the group chances of success were low.
2. Dancing Career. He’s the main dancer of BTS, and he was a fairly well known street dancer, before becoming a trainee. Perhaps, he felt that would be the better path for him. I can only say with any confidence that I am extremely grateful that he chose to stay.
3. Maybe he wants to be a vocalist? Perhaps Hoseok didnt like the idea of being a rapper, since he actually wanted to be a vocalist?
4. J-hope’s father. Another possible reason is, J-hope’s father did not let, or want him to become a dancer. It was hobi’s passion and dream to be a dancer, after he joined BTS. All thanks to his mom working hard, and saving money for him; she supported him a lot.
5. Big Hit. Many army believed that, he left because he was afraid that Big Hit would kick him out eventually, and he wanted to do it first before enduring the pain and shame of being forced. Maybe it was Hoseok’s personal intention to leave BTS, or it was Big Hit’s decision. In BTS burn the stage episode, it stated that RM tried hard to convince Big Hit, that they need Hoseok. So doesn’t it mean that, it’s Big Hit’s decision? He came back though when Namjoon being the amazing leader he is, convinced Bighit to let J-hope stay. He said that BTS needed J-hope, and wouldn’t be complete without him. So Hobi staye! Now our little bundle of sunshine finally has the recognition, and support he deserves. When he left Jungkook was actually in tears begging him to come back. “Remember when Jungkook cried after I quit,” said J-Hope with a laugh. “When you said you were quitting, Jungkook and I cried,” reminisced Jihmin. “I don’t think I’ve told you this before but I convinced them. I told them that we need J-Hope. We can’t be without him,” confessed RM. J-Hope said that it was the members that brought him back to BTS. “You guys are the reason that I’m back,” the BTS rapper emphasized.
“I can’t even imagine what it would have been like without him,” said RM, to which the rest of BTS agreed: “That would have been the worst.”
“Still, I don’t think we’ve had it so bad. Our efforts have been rewarded anyway,” RM added. They finally, are complete 7 again when he came back. But, here comes the second problem.
6. Criticism.
If I am not mistaken, it was months after their debut year that an ugly trend has surfaced in this ugly world of Internet.
Back then, haters spread the hash tag kick out j-hope bts non-sense that for sure makes him despressed. Also, Jhope may seem really happy, but we know that he isn’t. I think he’s probably really critical of himself and he might not have felt that he was necessary to the group (though we all know he is).
As Taehyung quoted , “BTS is made up of seven guys, I hope fans give love to all seven.” To Tae’s solo stans, let that sink in your coconut shell.
