BTS 미국새해 열었다… 타임스스퀘어 메운 ‘한국어 떼창’

Special concerts and performances were held across the world to celebrate the new year,… and South Korean boyband BTS were among the artists who performed at New York’s Times Square ahead of the new year countdown.
Our Kim Bo-kyoung tells us more.
The ball drop at New York’s Times Square is one of the most iconic moments of New Year’s Eve,… and BTS were one of the superstars to perform live ahead of the countdown.
BTS fans waited patiently at Times Square to enjoy the show and see their idols.
“Because we wanted to be early and I wanted to see BTS. We wanted to see the ball drop and get a good position.”
“For BTS. They have helped so many of us. They do everything possible to make sure that we know that we are loved by them, so we have to show it back to them. We have to let them know that they are loved, that they’re amazing and talented and worth every single second of our time.”
BTS performed live for eight minutes, treating fans with two songs as part of the ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020′ show.
Their fans sang along as they played their hit songs ‘Make it Right’ and ‘Boy with Luv’.
At the end of their performance, they wished their fans a happy new year.
The New Year’s Rocking Eve show has been held every year since 1972. It takes place at several locations across the U.S. and is watched by up to 25 million Americans.
This is BTS’s second time on the show as they did a pre-recorded performance in 2018.
They are the second Korean artists to be on the stage at New York’s Times Square,… as PSY performed onstage there in 2012.
