A TV show called Chartshow on RTL made BTS fans angry.
What upset the fans was the racist and sexist commentary against the band.
One person on the show asked if they are from Japan or North Korea.
Another person called them “Japanese albinos”.
After seeing Jimin, another one said: “The blonde girl is cute, isn’t she?”
Other rude comments were:
“it’s just for the teens”, “I would say only under the age of 12”and “That’s nonsense”
All this made fans incredibly angry.
An army posted the video on twitter and said:
“Get ready for some racism and sexism. Please share it. Maybe we can show these people that what they’re saying has consequences. The show is called “chartshow” and was aired on RTL /Germany”
Later RTL posted an apology on Tweeter saying:
“If the #BTS fans feel offended by the comments from the people on the show we are sorry. RTL positions itself against racism AND for freedom of expression.”
But fans were still not happy about it, so they posted a second apology:
“We can only apologize again and will cut out the comments in the rebroadcasts!“
Some of army’s reactions were:
“Basic reactions of people who know nothing but their own little world. Average people who look down on what they don’t know”
“Thats exactly the problem,they have matured in what they believed,racism and particular concepts and even though they should have flexibility,not many have it.
the new generation i.e teens and young adults however are more accepting to diversity,change and breaking boundaries”
