BigHit published a statement, reflecting the position of BigHit, BTS, and their parents. (1) There is no legal action under consideration against the firm.
(2) BigHit is asking for an apology from JTBC for its violation of journalism ethics and standards,
(1)BH verified with the members and their parents after JTBC’s report and confirmed that there is no legal action being considered. BTS and BH are currently discussing over minor details of the contract on video content business. The parents sought legal review of the clause to a law firm that is located in Gangbuk (note: the big law firm JTBC mentioned is located in Gangnam), but it did not lead to an actual request nor any official advice from the law firm BH and BTS discuss any conflict of opinions or interests as partners. The company has consistently advised the members and their parents to seek external professional consultation (accounting/finance/other legal issues).
(2) BTS does not have any intention to take any legal action including suing.
(3) JTBC staff visited the company without prior appointment, entered the building without permission, recorded inside the building, and used the clip for its report. The station later deleted the clip and reposted it without the clip. BH has a security camera footage of the reporter trespassing on the company building as well as the initial clip broadcasted.
