And that just one week after it was published

The song became the YouTube premiere with the most concurrent viewers
The previous record was held by BTS’ ‘Dynamite’
‘Butter’ also became the Youtube video with the most views in the first 24 hours with over 108 million views
The previous record also was held by BTS’ ‘Dynamite’
The fact that ‘Butter’ broke so many records that were previously held by ‘Dynamite’ caused quite a few memes
Like this one:

More than that, ‘Butter’ broke the record for the “most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours” which was previously held by the song ‘I don’t care’
And BTS also became the “most streamed act on Spotify” with over 16 billion streams

Now, did you ask yourself what do these numbers mean?
