Billboard revealed their 2021 Grammy predictions and BTS wasn’t included
The list includes Billboards best bets for “Album of the Year”, “Record of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, and “Best New Artist”
But despite BTS’ record breaking album sales, they were left out
“Despite being the best-selling album worldwide (5M+), biggest US album debut WITHOUT bundles (422k), and many more records, MOTS 7 is not mentioned once in this article.” tweeted a netizen
“I don’t listen to their music but by their success they should be there!” reacted another netizen
Some even accused Grammy’s of being biased
But then again, just because BTS wasn’t included in Billboards “best bests” list it doesn’t mean they won’t be nominated
The Grammy Awards will take place on January 31, 2021 and the nominees will be announced later this year
BTS held their “Bang Bang Con” live stream concert to celebrate their 7th anniversary
During the live stream, Jin held a speech that made many fans get emotional
“Originally, our contracts were supposed to end yesterday… But because we found a good agency, we’ll thankfully be able to stay together with our fellow members for a much longer time. I’m getting all emotional,” he said
Then, Jin asked the members to hug him:
“since my heart is choked up, let’s hug”
Now, to the question ‘will BTS disband soon?’
I will answer: “most likely not”
Their contract with BigHit will expire in 2023 but they will most likely renew it again
which means that BTS won’t disband sooner than 2028
