The girl group appeared on ‘Idol Room’ where they talked about BTS, saying that they didn’t meet them since Source Music was acquired by BigHit.
GFriend said that even though they’re part of the same company, the teams are separate, but they also revealed that the group is “getting a lot of support from the staff and CEO”.
However, some fans are worried that GFriend won’t get the credit they deserve for their success now that they’re under the same label as BTS.
“I hope Armies or new Buddies are not going to think that Gfriend is successful because they’re part of BigHit now (I’ve already seen comments suggesting this). Gfriend started from nothing and became a top girl group all on their own BEFORE they became part of BigHit” commented a fan.
Who will be BTS successor?
In an article, a reporter brought up the question “Who will be BTS’s successor?”
TXT and ATEEZ were mentioned, both being very popular overseas.
However, netizens weren’t happy about this saying that such questions, like ‘Who will be BTS’s successor’, would only fuel fanwars.
“The question is so wrong. It’s like they want to fuel a fanwar. And I think it’s too early to talk about BTS’s successors when they haven’t even reached the peak of their career yet” said a fan.
“To be fair, I do not really like the question itself. Like there will be no next BTS, they are TXT and Ateez. I think people like those groups because of themsevles, not because “they are like BTS” commented another fan.
What do you think?
Let me know.
And a s always: be nice, be like BTS
