The K-pop industry has already been hit by the fast-spreading COVID-19 in South Korea but the real problem is yet to come. More and more countries are imposing bans or toughening entry restrictions on travelers from South Korea. And K-pop groups scheduled to hold world tours could face limitations if the host country bars entry of South Koreans. As of today, 38 countries imposed entry bans on passengers from South Korea and 54 countries have tightened quarantine procedures, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is why concerns are growing among the K-pop industry as world tours were almost always part of their promotion schedules.
