But how did they end up knowing each other?
The person who connected RM to BigHit was actually Sleepy
He saw Namjoon rapping during his middle school days
So he got his number and connected him to Big Hit
When asked if he was the one who taught RM how to rap, Sleepy responded saying he never taught him
He also revealed that he begged RM to feature in one of his tracks, however, after one year, BigHit declined his offer
Some people accused him of using BTS for clout, but that’s not true
According to Jin, Sleepy is a nice person and he even offered Sleepy to help him financially
After Sleepy had some problems with his previous agency, he couldn’t even afford food and he would not eat for days
When Jin found out he texted Sleepy and said:
“Please don’t misunderstand, hyung, but if you’re having a really hard time, I can help you out a little. Don’t feel bad about this, but if you’re struggling, please contact me.”

Later Sleepy revealed that he couldn’t accept his help like that.
“I’m getting back on my feet through my own company. I’m really happy now” he confessed

And now, why is the Korean media barely mentioning BTS?
BTS is getting more and more successful with every ear, but Korean netizens are disappointed by the coverage BTS is getting in South Korea
There are barely any articles about BTS and the media didn’t even talk about their stage at the Grammys
As a netizen pointed out, for articles about BTS, it’s easier to look up foreign articles
However, this could also be because BTS is targeting the western market at the moment
“when they’ll release a korean album I’m sure the Korean media will cover it in no time.” Commented a netizen
