I first released my Boy Meets Evil cover last year on October 10th, because it was the one year anniversary of when I made the first demo, but it still had a bit of work left to be done, so a few months ago I went back and completely re-mixed and remastered the whole song.

I am not going to repost the long description I initially had, I’m just going to explain in short. The first time I heard the original I instantly fell in love with it and decided on the spot I want to make a cover and a few days later I made the instrumental. It took me a year to actually finish the song because I wanted to do it justice. I wanted to lyrics to be in English but still have some of the original Korean words here and there. I could not rely on online translations and translators, so I actually started learning the language right away and last year in May I finally felt confident enough to try and write lyrics, even though I was a bit scared as I had never done something like that, like.. ever.. Surprisingly enough just after two-three hours I had written the lyrics so I recorded the vocals shortly thereafter. As I said already I released it in October, but it wasn’t great, so for the last few months I worked hard on it to try and make it sound as best as I can..

All in all I can honestly say I have never worked so much on a song, not even on my own. To get into the feel of it all I listened to many of their songs, especially j-hope’s parts, his music and style, although by that time I was already a fan of him and the band, so it wasn’t at all homework.. Also read Demian, the book the Wings album’s connected to, oh and that little thing of learning a whole new language.. Which by the way I loved and I’m still studying it. The whole project is very special to me for many reasons, and it was the first time I’ve done something like this, so it was definitely interesting and fun. Learned and discovered many things, about myself, too.
