In serendipity, Jimin is holding a calico cat. Also calico cats are seen as protectors. They often try to protect, and save their owners when danger arises. Through the lyrics of this song, we can infer Jimin is in love, and he wants to protect whoever he loves, much like a calico cat, would do for their owner. In addition, calicoes are sweet, loving, and loyal cats. Which means, Jimin has the same trait as the calico cats. If you hunger for unconditional love, a calico cat will willingly, and enthusiastically fulfill that need. The lyrics of the songs say, “I’m your calico cat.” Which means, he want to protect and save the girl he loves. Because of the vision, he saw in his dreams, Jimin goes to the dance room, to save Ryujin. But unfortunately, Ryujin was already on J-hope’s arms. He can’t do anything but to go back. Look at his eyes; it looks so sad. He was broken. It was raining that night. In the lyrics of save me, Jimin sings, “I can’t breathe, I hate this night.” On the other hand, J-hope came to the dance room first, and he found Ryujin unconscious. Hobi was rushing to the hospital to bring Ryujin there. In Jimin’s dream, he washed his hands. If someone has blood on their hands, it means, they are responsible for the death of a person or people. Now in BTS MV “I Need You”, he seems to look depressed. It’s because, he blames himself because of the death of Ryujin. Maybe because, he didn’t come earlier the moment he saw the vision, so he could have save her. After that night, both of them become depressed, because of Ryujin’s death, as the lyrics says, “I need you girl.” J-hope tried to kill himself by taking a lot of sleeping pills. Because of this, both of them were brought into the hospital. J-hope was diagnose with Munchausen syndrome. Munchausen syndrome, or factious disorder is a mental disorder, where a person believe and pretend that he or she has an illness, even if he is not ill. Just like J-hope, he beleives that, he has a narcolepsy, but in reality, he is just pretendinng, that he is ill, to gain attention. Narcolepsy is not a mental disorder, but it is a disabling neurodegenerative condition that carries a high risk, for development of social and occupational dysfunction. In this scene, J-hope saw his mother in the hospital and tried to follow her. As we know, J-hope’s mother abandoned him when he was a kid, leaving him with one bar of chocolate. He walks down stairs to follow his mother, while calling her name, but the woman whom he’s following just ignored him. J-hope almost fell on the stairs, but luckily, Jihmin was there to save him. J-Hope act as if he has a narcolepsy, and pretend to be ill for attention, because he wants to be cared for. Maybe he didn’t have a mother to care for him, so he’s making himself appear pitiful, so others will care for him. Both of them are in white, hospital rooms being treated for psychological illnesses. Both of them are tested with Rorshack technique, also known as, the Rorshack test, or the inkblot test. The Rorshack is used to help assess personality structure, and identify emotional problems and mental disorders. The Rorshack is what psychologists call a projective test. The basic idea of this is that, when a person is shown an ambiguous, meaningless image (an inkblot) the mind will work hard at imposing meaning on the image. This is where Jimin and J-hope’s stories really intertwine. Remember I said Jimin’s therapy was in the form of ink blot tests? The point of these tests is to show patients images, and gain knowledge of their true mental state, from the way they decipher these images. The camera is recording his reactions. Jimin is shown 3 images.
