방탄소년단이 미국 빌보드 뮤직어워즈에서 한국 가수 최초로 2관왕에 올랐습니다.
특히 주요 부문인 톱 듀오/그룹 상은 마룬 파이브, 이매진 드래곤스 등 세계적인 그룹과 경쟁해 이룬 쾌거로 방탄소년단이 이제는 세계 음악시장의 중심에 서 있음을 확인시켜줬습니다.
기현정 기자의 보도입니다.

방탄소년단이 호명되자 객석에서 환호성이 터져 나옵니다.
방탄소년단은 미국 라스베이거스에서 열린 2019 빌보드 뮤직 어워즈에서 톱 듀오/그룹 부문을 수상했습니다.
방탄소년단은 팬클럽 아미에게 감사하다며 함께 공유한 ‘작은 것’들 덕분이라고 말했습니다.

시상식에서는 방탄소년단이 미국 톱 가수 할시와 함께 공연을 선보였습니다.
방탄소년단은 올해 처음 빌보드 차트 주요 부문인 톱 듀오/그룹 부문 후보에 올라, 마룬 파이브, 이매진 드래곤스 등 세계적인 그룹을 제치고 수상했습니다.
또 ‘톱 소셜 아티스트’ 부문에서도 3년 연속으로 상을 받았습니다.
한국 가수 최초로 빌보드 뮤직 어워즈 2관왕에 오르며 미국 음악, 나아가 세계 음악 시장의 중심에 섰음을 인정받았습니다.

지난달 새 앨범을 발매한 방탄소년단은 오는 4일 미국을 시작으로 브라질, 영국, 프랑스, 일본 등 세계 8개 지역에서 투어 공연을 가집니다.
