K-팝 아이돌 BTS의 이틀간 브라질 상파울루 공연에 10만 관객이 몰렸지만 아무 혼란없이 마무리된데 대해 현지 언론과 시민들은 놀라워 했습니다.
공연을 전후해 BTS 팬들은 한식 등 한국의 문화를 모두 경험하고 싶다며 한인 사회를 찾고 있습니다.
상파울루 이재환 특파원이 취재했습니다.
[리포트]
BTS 공연이 열린 프로축구팀 경기장 앞에는 3킬로미터의 긴 줄이 늘어섰습니다.
혼란은 없었습니다.
삼바 축구의 자존심이 강한 브라질에서 언론과 시민들은 놀라워 합니다.
[아찌바이아/브라질 상파울루 : “우리가 이 줄을 지켜봤는데요. 축구 팬들은 이 정도 낮은 수준이라면 여기 젊은 팬들은 이만큼 높습니다. 믿을 수 없을 정도로 혼란이 없습니다.”]
남미 전역에서 몰려든 팬들은 도심 한인 지역을 찾았습니다.
한 커피전문점에 모여 앉은 팬들은 BTS의 캐릭터가 그려진 커피와 빵을 즐깁니다.
[이형기/상파울루 커피전문점 대표 : “원하는 그림을 프린트를 해달라고 해서 시작한 게 계기가 됐습니다. 소셜미디어를 통해서 (퍼졌습니다).”]
한인 수퍼마켓도 반색했습니다.
라면과 과자 등 한국 식료품 구입도 팬들에게는 빼놓을 수 없는 일정이기 때문입니다.
[“자장면? 이 과자 이름은 모르겠구요.”]
한식당에도 한식을 맛보려는 팬들의 발걸음이 이어졌습니다
[에이쉴라/브라질 교사 : “이제 BTS를 좋아하기 시작했는데요. 한국의 모든 문화를 빠짐없이 경험하고 싶습니다. 음식이나 한인지역 등이죠.”]
이번 BTS 브라질 공연을 계기로 다양한 상품들이 판매되면서 한인 사회 뿐아니라 브라질 사회도 특수를 누리고 있습니다.
BTS 열풍은 한류 팬들의 한국 문화 전반에 대한 소비욕구로 진화하고 있습니다.
