그룹 방탄소년단이 새 앨범 발매 이후 최초이자 최고의 기록을 세우며 K팝의 새 역사를 쓰고 있습니다.
미국과 영국의 음반차트 정상을 휩쓸며 명실상부 글로벌 스타의 길을 걷고 있는 방탄소년단은 오늘 기자 간담회를 열고 국내 활동을 시작합니다.
김세희 기자의 보도입니다.

지난 12일 새 앨범 전 세계 동시 발매에 이어 미국 NBC 방송에서 신곡 무대를 최초 공개한 방탄소년단.
전 세계 팬들을 들썩이게 한 방탄소년단의 새 앨범이 미국과 영국의 음반 차트를 동시에 석권했습니다.
빌보드는 어제 홈페이지에 실은 예고 기사를 통해 방탄소년단의 새 앨범이 메인 앨범 차트인 ‘빌보드 200’에서 1위를 기록했다고 밝혔습니다.
지난해 5월 정규 3집 ‘러브 유어셀프 전 티어’, 지난해 9월 리패키지 앨범 ‘러브 유어셀프 결 앤서’ 발매 이후 세 번째 대기록입니다.
영국 오피셜차트 역시 방탄소년단의 1위 등극을 예고했습니다.
한국 가수가 영국 오피셜차트의 앨범 부문에서 1위를 차지하는 건 사상 처음입니다.

세계 최단 시간 유튜브 1억 뷰 돌파 등 새 앨범이 신기록 행진을 이어가며 다음 달 열리는 ‘2019 빌보드 뮤직 어워드’ 수상도 기대되고 있습니다.
방탄소년단은 ‘톱 듀오/그룹’과 ‘톱 소셜 아티스트’ 부문에 올라 3년 연속 후보에 이름을 올렸습니다.
방탄소년단은 오늘 글로벌 기자 간담회를 열어 국내 활동을 재개하고, 다음 달 4일 미국 로스앤젤레스를 시작으로 세계 8개 지역 스타디움 투어에 나섭니다.
