BTS ‘팝 음악 성지’ 한국인 최초 입성! 매진 행진 / KBS뉴스(News)

앨범 발표마다 새 기록을 갈아치우고 있는 방탄소년단이 해외투어를 시작하는데요.
콧대 높기로 소문난 미국과 영국의 대중음악 성지에서 한국 가수 최초로 공연을 펼칩니다.
공연 티켓은 모두 매진이라고 합니다.

KBS 공개홀 앞에 새벽부터 긴 줄이 늘어섭니다.
방탄소년단이 등장하자, 비명에 가까운 환호가 터져 나옵니다.
[“둘! 셋! 안녕하세요, 방탄소년단입니다!”]
나 자신을 사랑하자는 내용을 담은 신곡 ‘아이돌’을 발표한 방탄소년단은 다음 주부터 본격적인 해외투어에 나섭니다.
16개 도시를 돌며 79만 명의 팬을 만납니다.
지금까지 예매가 진행된 40만 석이 순식간에 매진됐습니다.
이번 투어의 콘서트 수익만 천억 원이 넘을 것으로 추정됩니다.
[엘로디 루시/프랑스 팬 : “안타깝게도 표를 구하지 못했어요. 사이트가 마비돼서요. 언젠가는 방탄소년단이 공연하는 모습을 직접 보고 싶습니다.”]
4만 석 규모의 미국 뉴욕 ‘시티 필드’ 스타디움에서도 한국 가수로는 최초로 공연을 펼칩니다.
최고 팝스타에게만 허락되는 곳입니다.
대중음악의 성지라 불리는 영국의 ‘O2 아레나’ 공연도 역시 한국인 최초입니다.
[정민재/음악평론가 : “미국에서 주목을 받고, 대중에 알려진 건 한 2년여 정도밖에 안 되잖아요. 그럼에도 북미에서 아레나 투어를 돌 수 있다는 것, 또 ‘시티필드’라는 대형 공연장에서 공연을 펼칠 수 있는 게 굉장히 의미가 있습니다.”]
이미 ‘최고의 보이밴드’라는 수식어를 얻은 방탄소년단.
한국적 정서를 녹여낸 새로운 곡을 들고 팝의 본고장 미국과 영국에서 그 가치를 입증할 예정입니다.
