世界的に人気の韓国の音楽グループ・ＢＴＳが２０日、アメリカ・ニューヨークの国連本部でＳＤＧｓ＝持続可能な開発目標への取り組みを促すイベントに登場しました。
メンバー全員によるスピーチの最後には、国連総会の議場という異例の場で撮影された『Permission to Dance』のミュージックビデオを披露。１０代、２０代の若者がコロナ禍でも希望を失わず、未来に向けて行動することの重要性を訴えました。

문 대통령은 이날 방탄소년단을 초청해 ‘미래세대와 문화를 위한 대통령 특별사절(특사)’ 임명장을 수여한다. 방탄소년단이 오는 19일 미국 뉴욕에서 열리는 제76차 유엔총회에 특사자격으로 참석한다. 이에 문 대통령은 한국을 대표해 세계 청년들을 향한 위로와 희망의 메시지를 전해 달라고 당부할 것으로 보인다.

임명장 수여식에는 방탄소년단 멤버 전원과 소속사 관계자 등이 참석한다.

문 대통령은 지난 7월 21일 방탄소년단을 문화특사로 임명했다. 박경미 청와대 대변인은 “문 대통령은 지속가능한 성장 등 미래세대를 위한 글로벌 의제를 선도하고, 국제사회에서 높아진 우리나라의 위상에 맞는 외교력의 확대를 위해 방탄소년단을 특사로 임명했다”고 설명했다.
