HYBE accused of sabotaging BTS
It’s a well known fact that HYBE is trying to decrease their dependency on BTS
and that the company focuses on generating new income streams to to replace BTS as the main income generator of the company.
They are doing this by investing in other companies and by debuting new groups.
But some fans are suspecting that HYBE is trying to sabotage BTS’ solo releases because of this.
Is is true? Watch till the end to hear my opinion on this.
So, one of the reasons fans are suspecting this, is the fact that HYBE didn’t release a physical album for J-Hope’s ‘Jack in the Box’ due to environmental reasons.
Instead they released a digital album with just a cardholder and two photo card.
Then there’s Jin’s solo single ‘The Astronaut’ which will be released as a physical album, but it will be released at different dates in Korea and overseas.
And fans believe this might affect the album’s sales numbers, so they are wondering if HYBE is intentionally trying to sabotage BTS’ solo releases.
A netizen made a post saying that HYBE is doing this on purpose to show that they are depending less on BTS.
Now, in my opinion, these accusations don’t make any sense.
I’m sure HYBE has it’s reasons why they are doing this, and just because they are trying new things doesn’t mean they are sabotaging BTS.
And also, I’m sure the member were informed regarding these decisions and were ok with this.
