MBC is being accused of punishing TXT and Gfriend because BTS will not be attending their end of the year show.
After MBC released the final lineup for Gayo Daejejeon, fans noticed that TXT and Gfriend were not listed.
BTS isn’t attending the show as they will be performing in New York and fans believe that MBC is trying to take revenge on them by punishing TXT and Gfriend.
Both TXT and Gfriend had a good year.
TXT is one of the most famous groups that debuted this year winning multiple awards.
Gfriend released two albums this year and won #1 on multiple award shows.
Both TXT and Gfriend will be performing at SBS’s Gayo Daejejeon and KBS’s Song Festival.

And since both TXT and Gfriend had a very successful year, fans believe MBC is trying to punish BTS by not listing their labelmates.
MBC denied the accusations saying:
“Gfriend and Tomorrow x Together not being in the lineup is not revenge against Big Hit because BTS is not making an appearance. It is according to our PD to book the artists. We already knew that BTS would be performing at an overseas schedule.”
